Your details
We use what you send us to answer you and get your merch to you. We do not sell it and there is no mailing list.
Last updated: September 30, 2026. This page covers Söūp, the band (Mónica and Mercedes), and this website, soupband.net.
What we collect
Only what you type in. The booking form asks for your name, email, venue or event, a date and your message, and your phone number if you want to give it. Reserving merch asks for your name, email, phone if you give it, a note, and a street address only if you want it delivered. If you email us or message us on Instagram, we have whatever you send there.
What we use it for
To reply to you, sort out a show, and put your merch aside or get it to you. That is all. We do not sell your details, we do not share them for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
- Deep Current, the website dashboard run by our web designer, Deep Development & Design. It stores what you send so we can see it. Alongside it we keep a scrambled version of your internet address, only to stop spam.
- Mailgun, which sends us an email to say a message or an order has come in.
- Vercel, which hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers see your internet address when you load a page.
- Stripe, only if you pay by card once card payment is switched on. Stripe takes the payment; we never see your card number. Today you settle up in person, by cash or Venmo.
Music, videos and fonts from other companies
Some pages play music and video straight from other services, and those services can see that you visited and may set their own cookies:
- Spotify players on the home, music and press kit pages.
- YouTube, one live video on the live page. It uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set YouTube cookies until you press play.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering on every page, so your browser asks Google's servers for it.
Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect. Links to Instagram, Apple Music and YouTube are plain links; nothing loads from them until you click.
Visit counting
This site counts visits so we can see how many people look at it. It records which page was viewed, which website sent you here if there was one, and taps on things like our email address. It does not set advertising cookies and it does not know who you are. Daily visitor counts are worked out from a scrambled code that resets every midnight. It may keep one random number in your browser so a repeat visit can be linked to a message you send later; that number says nothing about you. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted and nothing is stored.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to answer you or finish your order. Ask us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask what we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email soupband712@gmail.com or message @soupband_official.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their details. If a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
